Son-Aero Completes Highly Competitive Lockheed Martin Ethics Mentorship Program
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Anaheim, CA (November 7, 2019) – Sonfarrel Aerospace LLC (Son-Aero) as one of only 11 suppliers selected (out of 16,000) to participate in Lockheed Martin’s 9-month long Ethics Supplier Mentoring Program. Son-Aero completed the program in August just ahead of its one-year anniversary under new management.
“We take our ethics program very seriously, and we’re honored to be selected by Lockheed Martin,” says Jeff Greer, CEO, “We learned a great deal and were able to hone our program, implementing positive company-wide practices that encourage transparency and accountability.”
A primary objective of the global aerospace company’s Ethics Supplier Mentoring Program is to help suppliers develop well-thought-out ethics policies and practices in order to encourage stringent ethical standards and proactive engagement with their suppliers. The program addresses a variety of integral and sometimes controversial issues such as anti-corruption, gifts and business courtesies, counterfeit parts, human trafficking, conflict minerals, and natural resources.
During the program, Son-Aero implemented additional ethics policies, expanding on their company core values, a clear ethics reporting system, and opportunities for employees to report ethics violations and concerns early on. Prioritizing ethical manufacturing practices is key to Son-Aero’s motto: Do the Right Thing through Excellence, Integrity, and Respect.
