Team Member Spotlight: Alberto Silva

 

We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Alberto Silva to Plant Manager here at Son-Aero. He joined the company back in 2002 and has advanced progressively through increasingly more responsible positions in both the customer service and operations departments, where he has played a key role in the progress and success of both.

Alberto brings a wealth of experience to the operations side of our business, and we are excited about his new role at the company.

Get to know Alberto Silva, Plant Manager

At Son-Aero we know that there’s more to an employee than just the role they play at work. We value who our employees are as individuals as well. So we asked Alberto a little bit more about himself.

When asked about what he likes most about his new role, Alberto said being engaged in all aspects of company operations while having the power to help make decisions that improve Son-Aero’s performance are key. Most of all he says that the people he works with are a huge part of why he loves his job.

“They make it so interesting and fun to be here, something I never experienced before the new management here at Son-Aero,” says Silva.

Aside from his extensive work experience, Alberto credits his personal experience as a soccer coach in helping to prepare him for a bigger leadership role. Understanding his players’ strengths and weaknesses has translated well to managing his team as well. Using on-field management skills in the workplace has made him a better leader at work.

Alberto says, “To be able to build strong teams that work well together is the key to success.”

When asked which of the company values speaks to him most, out of Excellence, Respect, and Integrity, Alberto selected “excellence.”

“It is what drives me on a daily basis to look at an issue and be able to ‘Lean out’ the process so that it produces better results,” says Silva.
