Team Member Spotlight: Ernesto Hernandez

Get to know Ernesto Hernandez, Account Manager.

Q: How long have you been at Son-Aero?

Ernesto: I started with Sonfarrel in January, 2017 and after the company became Sonfarrel Aerospace LLC in October, 2018 I was lucky enough to have my employment transferred over. I am lucky to say I have been with Sonfarrel Aerospace LLC since its birth.

Q: What life experience do you think has helped you grow in your role at Son-Aero?

Ernesto:  My father always told me, “Nothing in life will ever be handed to you, so you better learn to work hard to get what you want.” I think that conversation with my father changed my life. At Son-Aero I have been fortunate enough to meet people like Rovalier Thompson, Alberto Silva, and Kent Anderson who have believed in me and have allowed me to prove myself, but I think that I have been able to do just that thanks to that conversation with my father because it pushed me to be who I am and work as hard as I do day in and day out.

Q: When it comes to the company values of Excellence, Respect, and Integrity if you had to pick only one that speaks to you most which would it be?

Ernesto:  I believe that out of our three core values the one that I identify with the most is integrity. In this industry as well as in life, sometimes we are faced with some difficult decisions and at times our integrity is tested but when we hold on to that integrity, ourselves, and the company are that much better for it.  I believe that by having integrity the other two naturally fall into place.

Q: What’s your favorite part of your new position?

Ernesto:  My new position makes me feel like what I am doing matters and I love that feeling. I believe that in life when you work doing something you love, you never feel like you are working.
